Skygate holds personal liability insurance for $5Million.
For individuals, although it is no longer a Transport Canada requirement to have liability insurance to operate an RPAS in Canada, as the 'pilot in command' of an aircraft, you will be liable for any accidents or incidents that arise from flying a drone. As such we highly recommend all drone operators obtain liability insurance for their own peace of mind.
